The following obituary appeared in the Cape Cod Times for Monday, 10 March 2003:

JANET MOTT, 75
Past president of Nickerson Family Assn; active in Chatham
CHATHAM - Janet (Nickerson) Mott, 75, a lifelong resident of Chatham, died Thursday at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was the wife of Ian M. Mott of Chatham. Mrs. Mott was born in Barnstable, raised and educated in Chatham and graduated from Waltham Hospital School of Nursing.
